MALONE HOLDINGS
Located approximately 10 miles south of I-70 near Silt, Colorado, the Malone Ranch offers the best of all worlds from hiking to hunting to horsing around. Its 215 acres produce abundant alfalfa hay as well as provide wooded cover for wildlife. The most spectacular aspect of this place is the views in every directions from the Flat Tops Wilderness Area to the north around to Mamm's Peak to the southwest.
The 5,000 square foot lodge was designed to subtly blend into the lovely scenery and to be a place from which one may observe the outdoor beauty from inside comfort. Five bedrooms and five bathrooms accommodate lots of guests and the construction quality is second to none. Striking features include a twenty foot tall fireplace made from Oklahoma Blue Stone, Honduran Pine custom floors, doors and cabinets throughout, a gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and two covered porches with Pinion railings, to name a few.
There is plenty of water on the property with two streams and water rights for raising hay. Petroglyphs adorn a large rock outcropping over one of the streams proving that the Ute Indians and settlers were here long before us. Boundaries are endless as the ranch joins the National Forest on the entire southern border.
World class hunting takes place here due to the natural passageway of the elk and mule deer through the center of the ranch as they head down from the National Forest. A large metal hay barn has the perfect setup in place for meat processing including a skinning rack, freezers and insulated room for aging the meat.
